The golf course was opened in 1993. The course was designed by Canadian duo Les Furber and Jim Eremko. The sensitive way they set the golf course amid beautiful scenery with the majestic Karlštejn, the castle of Czech kings, forming a romantic backdrop, has created a unique course. The wooded hilly landscape, with limestone outcrops and rich flora and fauna, is an oasis of peace and quiet, and yet is only a few minutes drive from central Prague. The broken terrain, natural gorges, two lakes and many sand traps create a very pleasant environment that will satisfy even the most demanding of players.

One of the most beautiful golf resorts in our country can be found 40 km south of Prague.

Golf Resort Konopiště was inaugurated on July 20, 2002. Its home region is the Manorial Estate of Tvoršovice, whose history dates back to the 10th century. The last owner, the Bartoň family, used it as a summer residence. Golf Konopiště a.s. entered into the project in 1997 and built up a resort which can be proud of its two 18-hole master courses. These are the Radecky Course bearing the name of one of the former owners, famous marshal of Napoleonic Wars Václav Radecky of Radeč, and the D’Este Course named after Archduke Ferdinand d’Este, successor to the Austrian Throne.

The courses are advantageously situated in a landscape with slight slopes, which is surrounded by the forest and includes various bunkers and numerous water barriers. A characteristic feature is represented especially by the great, modelled greens.
